MyVoiceTiles

MyVoiceTiles is an augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) app designed for children ages 2–13. We are committed to protecting the privacy of our users, especially children. This policy explains how the app handles data.

MyVoiceTiles does NOT collect, transmit, or share any personal data. All information — including user profiles, communication tiles, usage statistics, and settings — is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's on-device storage (SwiftData). No data is ever sent to our servers or any third party.

MyVoiceTiles is designed with children's privacy as a top priority. There are no third-party trackers, no external analytics, and no data collection of any kind. All metrics, usage statistics, and personal data are saved ONLY on your device. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, and no servers involved. The app fully complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Apple's guidelines for apps intended for children.

The app stores the following data locally on your device only:

• User profiles (name, voice preferences, tile size settings)
• Communication tiles and categories
• Usage session history (duration, word count)
• Passcodes for parental/therapist controls (stored as hashed values)

This data never leaves your device. If you delete the app, all data is permanently removed.

MyVoiceTiles uses Apple's built-in text-to-speech engine (AVSpeechSynthesizer) to speak words and sentences aloud. All speech processing happens on-device. No audio or text is transmitted to external servers.

MyVoiceTiles does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The app contains no ads, no in-app purchases that collect data, and no external SDKs that transmit user information.

The app provides an optional export feature that allows parents or therapists to generate usage reports or export profile data as a file. This export is initiated entirely by the user and shared only through Apple's native share sheet. We have no access to exported files.

MyVoiceTiles includes a passcode-protected therapist/parent mode that restricts access to settings, tile management, and usage statistics. Passcodes are hashed using SHA-256 encryption and stored on-device only.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Since the app does not collect data, changes are unlikely to affect user privacy.
